The German made documentary about Nan Hauser’s life and work has recently been broadcasted on French national television ARTE FUTURE.
Here in the Cook Islands we don’t go to the whales, the whales come to us! The Cook Islands are home to the last endangered population of migrating humpback whales. Rarotonga’s unique structure means the whales can come right up against the reef, and anyone can see these amazing creatures up close and witness their acrobatic displays from the land. We are so proud our Marae Moana is a whale sanctuary, and to be a part of ensuring these whales are here to touch the lives of future generations to come.
On the 7th of March a new documentary will be released on German television under the title:
(Women and oceans, Nan Hauser – the way of the whales)
