Supporting our friends of the ocean ...

Many organisations and businesses around the world have already generously contributed to our research efforts. If you would like to find out how you too can help, please contact us at info@whaleresearch.org. We'd love to hear from you!

The following corporations have generously supported CCRC by donating services and product

Thanks to IFAW, the South Pacific Whale Research Consortium has been able to continue their cutting edge research in Australia, New Zealand, Tonga, New Caledonia, French Polynesia and the Cook Islands. Special thanks to Mick McIntyre.

Thanks to Westpac Banking Corporation in Rarotonga for their kind donation to the Cook Islands Whale Research and professional research assistant, Terry Smith.

Thanks to Wayne Barclay of Pacific Marine Charters, Rarotonga. who has provided us with invaluable support since 1999 through his countless informed whale sightings.

GET UGLY!

Uglyfish Productions created the original whaleresearch.org. Without the vision and generosity of Uglyfish co-founder Gerard Sullivan, CCRC's website would consist of a couple of still photos and white papers. For an eye-opener on web design check out Uglyfish's other creations. Contact Jerry at inverteddesign.com

Without our Maui Jim sunglasses, we couldn't do the work we do. We have used countless polarized sunglasses over the years, and none enable us to see whales through the surface like our Maui Jims. The secret lies in their unique polarization technology, resulting in glare reduction unparalleled in other sunglasses. We don't leave shore without them!

Without Society Expeditions, CCRC could not have initiated the Cook Islands Humpback Survey at Palmerston Atoll. Because Palmerston is so isolated, 4-6 months often go by without a ship visiting the atoll. Society Expeditions' adventure cruise ship M/V World Discoverer is one of the few regular visitors at Palmerston. Generally the ship stops at Palmerston twice a year for several hours, a favorite stop among guests and crew alike. For two years Society Expeditons has picked up CCRC researchers at Palmerston and carried them to Rarotonga via Aitutaki. Quite simply, CCRC couldn't have surveyed Palmerston's whale-rich waters during the 1998 and 1999 humpback breeding seasons without Society Expedions generously donating passage aboard the M/V World Discoverer.
