Paradise Inn

The Paradise Inn in Rarotonga is the perfect place to watch the whales swim right up next to the reef. There are 16 comfortable units nestled in a peaceful location between the mountains and the sea, yet only a few minutes walk to downtown Avarua. The deck, bar and lounge have breathtaking lagoon and ocean views where you can whale watch, meet other guests or enjoy a meal al fresco. If you are in Rarotonga during humpback season (July to October) while strolling along the beach, you will probably spot migrating whales passing by. Wandering out through the lagoon at low tide, you might even find yourself right next to one.

Enjoy the Island

Paradise Inn is the ideal central base from which to explore Rarotonga and the perfect place to retreat to at the end of the day. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff can help you with organizing tours, transport, activities, special events and we have a wide range of information on hand about the island. The Inn also has a wifi "hotspot" for internet access. The shops, bars and cafes of Avarua are within five minutes walking distance at the slow Cook Islands pace. Several excellent restaurants, the National Museum, Library and Cultural Centre are just a short stroll away and a small grocer is on hand at the edge of the property for supplies.
