To celebrate the close of the whale season in Rarotonga, 2003.

Rawiri Paratene, who played Paka, the grandfather in the New Zealand award-winning film, Whale Rider, visited the Whale Research Centre in October and was offered these works as a gift from the children of Rarotonga and the Whale Education Centre.
