Lou Aitken, mother of three, lives in Rarotonga where she is completing a masters course in education. She has a masters degree in zoology and extensive experience working for Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries in New Zealand. She has this year been coordinating edcuational programmes for the Cook Islands Whale Centre, helping to introduce whale study into the Cook Islands school curriculum.
